Brazilian Oak Janka Hardness: 1460 - 13% harder red oak Brazilian Oak has color and grain qualities similar to domestic oak. It has a pale tannish- yellow to medium brown color similar to the much desired “wheat” color found in domestic Northern red oak. Brazilian Oak has a medium graining pattern and stains well, much like domestic oak. It is an economic alternative to domestic oak and is becoming more prominent in the flooring market.
